According to Bloomberg, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United are on the list of clubs being targeted for a potential investment from the Qatari state.
Qatar Sports Investments have been one of the major players in world football for over a decade now after their purchase of PSG, and now, they’re looking to get involved in the Premier League.
They’re only looking to buy a minority stake in one of these clubs, but given how rich QSI are, even a small stake could be game-changing.
So, how much money do QSI have? Let’s take a look.

How much money do QSI have?
Unlike a person, a family or a company, it’s quite hard to put QSI’s net worth into numbers.
Indeed, this group is an offset of the overall Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), and measuring their net worth may be our best bet in terms of figuring out how much QSI have.
QIA is a sovereign wealth fund set up to diversify the countries assets away from an over-reliance on oil.
QIA don’t just invest in football. They own huge amounts of real estate all over the world, they own shares in companies such as Uber, and, of course, they have a huge amount of cash.
According to the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute, QIA is worth a staggering $461bn (£379bn) – basically meaning that QSI have a gargantuan amount of cash to spend – and that’s exactly what they have done at PSG.
In Paris they’ve signed the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and many others over the years, and if they do invest in Liverpool, Spurs or Manchester United, perhaps the same level of superstar signings will be coming to the Premier League.
Simply put, £100m on a transfer is a drop in the ocean for this investment group, so don’t be surprised if whichever Premier League team they get involved in end up splashing the cash upon partnering with QSI.
