Some Everton fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a loan move for Ross Barkley.
Everton and Barkley of course have a history, with the midfielder coming through at Goodison Park, but after he left in acrimonious circumstances, fans don’t want to see him come back.
Indeed, supporters are adamant that they don’t want Barkley back at the club after the way he acted in his final months as an Everton player.
Of course, this comes not long after the club hired Rafa Benitez, who wasn’t a popular choice at all, as their next manager.
Bringing Barkley back could be even more controversial than hiring Benitez, and Evertonians on social media have been quick to make their voices heard on this matter.
It remains to be seen whether or not this move comes to fruition, but one thing is for sure, if Barkley returns to Everton he won’t have a warm welcome from some fans.
