Tottenham Hotspur striker Kazaiah Sterling’s two-minute cameo against APOEL Nicosia earlier this month will have given the teenager a tantalising taste of what is to come, and he will not want to wait too long before getting more first-team action.
So when can the 19-year-old expect to feature again, with the matches coming thick and fast for Tottenham in the weeks ahead?
It would be no surprise to see Sterling on the bench for at least one of the league games over the festive period, with Tottenham facing Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester City, Burnley, Southampton, Swansea City and West Ham United in quick succession.
Such is the importance for fresh players and constant goal-threat that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could well put the teenager on the bench for a couple of those games, especially if summer signing Fernando Llorente continues to fall short in the league.
Then there is the FA Cup third round clash against AFC Wimbledon, where Sterling could be granted his first senior start, and if the youngster seizes whatever chances come his way over the next month or so, he could open all sorts of doors in 2018 and beyond.
