Leeds United and Aston Villa have both been looking to secure Ryan Kent on loan from Liverpool.
Barcelona’s pursuit of Philippe Coutinho could be bad news for clubs chasing Ryan Kent, with the youngster looking less likely to leave Liverpool on loan.
Kent has enjoyed a brilliant pre-season at Liverpool, which has caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp.

However, if Barcelona take Coutinho, then Leeds and Villa may be left with no chance of landing the attacking midfielder.
Although Kent is unlikely to be seen as Coutinho’s direct replacement, Klopp may be loathed to loan out the 20-year-old, if the Brazilian does depart.
Kent possesses great skill and dribbling ability, and Coutinho’s exit would open up a place for him in Liverpool’s first-team.
The rumours that Kent could sign for both Villa and Leeds has created great excitement around both clubs.
But it may be that Leeds and Villa are left waiting for the Coutinho transfer to come to an end, before they can snap the attacking midfielder up.
And although Liverpool are currently standing firm, Klopp’s side will still face a fight to keep hold of the Brazilian international.
