Liverpool are keen to add a left back to their squad this summer if reports are to believed.

They have already seen a bid for Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell turned down by the Premier League champions.

Indeed, it appears that any move for the young star man be on hold, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that they will refuse to pay the £10million asking price for his services.

Instead Jurgen Klopp will look at alternative signings, and Hull City star Andrew Robertson is a candidate, as reported by the Mirror.

The Scotland international is a key player for Steve Bruce’s side, playing a major role in their return to the Premier League last season.

But would he represent an improvement on current left back Alberto Moreno? We decided to compare their stats from last season to find out.

And surprisingly it was a win for the Spaniard as he came out on top in seven of the eight areas we looked at.

On a per game basis he made more tackles, won more tackles, won more interceptions and more defensive duels than Robertson.

He was also better at blocking crosses, while he was also a more accurate with his own crossing also.

Robertson did come out on top when it came to accurate passes per game, although Moreno enjoyed a better passing accuracy overall.

A surprising result then, and one that may make Jurgen Klopp think twice about a move for Robertson this summer.
