Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has accepted Antonio Conte’s explanation about his rant on Saturday, according to The Daily Mail.
How Daniel Levy has reacted to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur rant
Conte went on an extraordinary rant on Saturday after the match between Tottenham and Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Spurs could only draw the match 3-3 with the relegation candidates.
And Conte was not happy with his players.
The former Chelsea boss slammed his Tottenham players, calling them “selfish”, and he also seemed to take a dig at the club’s hierarchy for not winning any major trophy for years.
The Daily Mail have reported that Conte has now spoken to Levy and the others in the Tottenham board.
The former Juventus and Inter Milan boss has explained that his frustrations and comments were aimed only at the players and not at the board.
“It is understood Levy has accepted Conte’s version of events,” according to The Daily Mail, who have added that the Tottenham chairman will speak to others in the coming days about the situation.

No drastic action needed
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should not sack Antonio Conte right now, but Daniel Levy should start putting a plan in place in case he has to.
Tottenham are still very much in the race for the Premier League top four.
Just like last season, Conte could still guide Spurs to the UEFA Champions League places.
So, in our view, just because we are now heading into the international break, Levy should not sack the Italian.
