Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly frustrated that Moises Caicedo could join Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is “bitterly disappointed” and “frustrated” that Moises Caicedo could join Chelsea and not his side.

The report has claimed that although Liverpool had agreed a £110 million deal with Brighton and Hove Albion, Caicedo’s representatives eventually told the Reds that Chelsea were his “preferred destination”.

The Mirror has claimed that Liverpool struck a deal with Brighton after receiving encouragement from the midfielder’s camp that he would be open to a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

“The indications from his representatives left Klopp feeling confident he would get the transfer over the line,” according to the report, which has added that the Liverpool manager is now very disappointed that Caicedo could move to Chelsea instead.

Liverpool should walk away from Moises Caicedo deal

In our opinion, Liverpool should simply walk away from a potential deal for Moises Caicedo now that the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder has made it clear that he wants to join Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

There is no point in the Reds trying to convince a player to join the club when his heart is somewhere else.

We believe that Liverpool should just let Chelsea try to do a deal with Brighton for the Ecuadorian star.

There are enough midfielders around for Liverpool to start focusing on between now and the end of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are a massive club and a global brand, and we believe that the Merseyside outfit will attract other quality midfielders.

We do not think that Caicedo is worth £110 million.

After all, the midfielder has had just one good season in the Premier League.
