Pre-season number 20 is awaiting James Milner, and like he has been doing for many years, the Liverpool man will probably be the fittest player at the camp when everyone returns to action.

The 35-year-old posted a screen-grab of various lap times, which left many Liverpool fans stunned.

Milner was running 1 mile in less than three minutes, at times, and ran a total distance of eight and a half kilometres in 34 minutes.

Some serious pace from the fitness machine, who is probably showcasing that he can go on for another ten years if he wanted to.

A career that started at Leeds 20 years ago, Milner is, without a doubt, one of the Premier League greats.

Not only has he won it all on the domestic circuit, but he has also played for some of the biggest clubs during every step of his career.

From starting his career at Leeds when they were in the Champions League, playing in front of 50,000+ at Newcastle and helping Aston Villa to three consecutive top-six finishes during his time in the Midlands.

Then he turned all of that into trophies-galore by winning the lot at both Manchester City and Liverpool.

Not just a Premier League great, but perhaps an understated figure for the career he has had and the manner in which he has gone about things.

A popular figure on Merseyside, he will be hoping to add another Premier League medal to his cabinet next season, as Liverpool fans reacted to his pre-pre-season routine:
