The Belgian has been one of Tottenham Hotspur’s best players this season.

Right now Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is looking like one of the top midfield players in the Premier League. In fact, there are many that would say he might be the one of the best in Europe at this moment in time.

He has just put in two incredible performances, first against Arsenal and then Juventus in the Champions League.

Tottenham fans have long been saying he is one of the best midfield operators in the world and he is now proving to those less in the know that he is indeed a top midfield performer.

So what will obviously stun Tottenham fans, is the difference in wages between the Belgian maestro and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman, once the world’s most expensive player, has been in the news recently for reportedly demanding a pay-rise at United. The Daily Mail said he wanted his current £200,000-a-week wages doubled so he would be earning closer to what Alexis Sanchez will be at Old Trafford.

That’s an astonishing amount of money for a player most Tottenham fans will suggest is not as good as Dembele. This week the Belgian was linked with a move to China. It was claimed by the Sun he could also double his wages, but from the more modest £80,000k-a-week he is currently on at Spurs.

Pogba is a massive namee and certainly a bigger commercial draw than Dembele. But in no footballing dimension is the Frenchman £120,000-a-week better than Tottenham’s Belgian maestro. With Pogba going for £400,000-a-week it is mind-boggling how vast the disparity between the two’s earnings really is.

It highlights the commercial appeal of Pogba and the careful spending Daniel Levy operates at Tottenham Hotspur.

Dembele, the modest maestro, will just continue to thrive at Tottenham, regardless of how much he gets paid.
