Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media are buzzing after Bild reported that they’re interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.
Zakaria has been starring in the Bundesliga for a number of years now, and the defensive midfielder could be on the move this summer for a bargain price.
Indeed, Bild state that Monchengladbach are willing to consider offers as low as €20m (£17m), which is a great price for a 24-year-old who is proven at Champions League level.
As you can imagine, Spurs fans were overjoyed to hear that they could be signing Zakaria for such a bargain fee, and they’ve taken to social media to make their opinions known.
Some fans were especially excited by the prospect of Zakaria partnering Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the middle of the park, and it has to be said that they would make for a mouth-watering pairing, especially in a Nuno Espirito Santo team.
