If West Ham lose at Swansea this weekend then they are very much in the Premier League relegation battle.

West Ham United were outclassed in their latest Premier League outing as a rampant Liverpool side ran out 4-1 winners at Anfield.
The result sees the Hammers drop down to 13th in the table as Brighton and Hove Albion leapfrogged them with a victory against Swansea City, while Huddersfield Town have drawn level after beating West Bromwich Albion.

There also remains a three-point gap between David Moyes’ men and the bottom three and they face the first team currently in that relegation zone this weekend in Swansea.
Victory for the Swans at the Liberty Stadium would draw them level on points with West Ham with nine matches left to go in the 2017/18 season.

With things so tight in the bottom half the East Londoners would be very much embroiled in a battle to avoid the drop and with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City coming up as opponents, they need to be picking up points from the teams around them.
Moyes has lifted the team somewhat following a poor start to the campaign with Slaven Bilic as manager, but defeat in South Wales and suddenly all that good work will be undone.
