Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been linked with Gregoire Defrel of Sassuolo in the summer transfer window.
This is not the first time that the 26-year-old forward has been linked with the two Premier League clubs.
The same report also stated that West Ham and Tottenham were taking interested in signing the Frenchman in the summer of 2015.

Defrel eventually left Cesena for Sassuolo in the summer of 2015, but it seems that Spurs and West Ham are now back in for the 26-year-old.
So how has Defrel performed over the past two seasons? Do his displays merit the (reported) interest of Spurs and West Ham?
During the 2015-16 campaign, the Frenchman scored seven goals and created 26 chances in 33 Serie A appearances, according to Squawka.com.
Sassuolo finished as high as sixth in Serie A in 2015-16 and has a better league campaign than AC Milan and Lazio.
Defrel scored 12 goals and created 30 chances in 29 Serie A matches for Sassuolo last season, according to Squawka.com, as Eusebio Di Francesco guided them to a 12th-placed finish in the league.
The Frenchman’s record for Sassuolo over the past two seasons is not bad. Defrel would be a decent signing for Tottenham as he would be a back-up to Harry Kane, but perhaps West Ham should target someone better and more prolific if they are looking for a top-class forward.
