Martin Keown has suggested on Final Score on BBC One that Chelsea would benefit the most by signing Harry Kane from Tottenham.

Sky Sports recently reported that Kane has once again expressed a desire to leave Tottenham and Chelsea are one of the clubs monitoring his situation.

Those who have worn Tottenham colours before have swapped to the other side of North London and such actions haven’t been forgotten.

If Kane does the same but heads towards West London then, once again, it would cause utter chaos.

And Keown thinks Chelsea are missing someone of Kane’s quality after he won the Golden Boot for the 2020/21 Premier League season.

“It’s a bit mischievous but that’s what Chelsea cannot do,” said Keown. “Which team benefits most if Harry Kane went there, really? Chelsea.

“Can you imagine how good they would be? With Harry Kane at Spurs then anything is possible.”

It would be a surprise if Kane leaves for Chelsea and it’s not something that’s in his character to do.

Sol Campbell clearly didn’t care what was thought of him when he swapped Spurs for Arsenal nearly 20 years ago.

And whilst there is a chance that Kane might not be a Spurs player before the start of the next campaign, he won’t be forgiven if he ends up donning the colours of those at Stamford Bridge.
