New Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been active in the transfer market even though he has been manager at Ibrox officially less than a month.
Gerrard’s Rangers already have five new faces for next season, bringing in goalkeeper Allan McGregor, defenders Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan, as well as signing Scott Arfield and making Jamie Murphy’s loan permanent.
The new players really will shake things up at Ibrox, but how will they line up?
Here is one way Gerrard could select hs new boys, but there will be some tough decisions…
Rangers’ backline is transformed, with a new centre-back pairing and returning goakeeper Allan McGregor.
At full-back it is a case of ‘as you were’, with Declan John and James Tavernier.
On the basis that Ovie Ejaria takes one of the two central midfield spots, it leaves one left, with Graham Dorrans selected here ahead of Ryan Jack, Greg Docherty, and Jordan Rossiter.
Selecting two wingers is tough, as it means the impressive Daniel Candeias is benched in favour of Scott Arfield and Jamie Murphy.
As is stands Alfredo Morelos is Rangers’ best striker option although this could change, with Josh Windass taking up the attacking midfield role.
