Rangers have brought seven signings to Ibrox this summer.

Rangers fans will be excited about their new signings, with Steven Gerrard strengthening his squad early this summer with a raft of new additions.

For those interested in FIFA, it’s also a chance to move some new faces over to Rangers, and learn more about Gerrard’s new signings – even if the game isn’t always an ideal representation.

Still, here is how each of Gerrard’s new signing rate on FIFA 19, and how Rangers fans can get the best out of them on Career Mode…

George Edmundson: 60 Overall, 71 Potential

He looks to be a fine prospect in real life, but that hasn’t really materialised into FIFA’s ratings just yet. He’s at just 60 overall, making him one of the lowest-rated Rangers players. His current potential of 71 would put him just ahead of the current level of Nikola Katic on FIFA 19, and just below Connor Goldson. Rangers will hope that he can become a little better than that, though Strength (71) and Jumping (73) are fine attributes for a defender – especially if their main defensive attributes aren’t quite developed.

Steven Davis: 74 Overall, 74 Potential

With Davis now in his mid-30’s, he won’t be one to build around for years in real life nor on FIFA. But he can offer major quality now, showcased by great stats in a host of areas. 79 Short Passing, 77 Reactions, 75 Ball Control, 75 Vision and 75 Long Passing are all superb, is the 74 Dribbling stat. The Northern Irishman should be a key name on the teamsheet to begin with on FIFA 19, though if you’re playing Career Mode, he’ll need to be replaced soon as his attributes decline.

Joe Aribo: 67 Overall, 78 Potential

Rangers fans are excited about Aribo’s arrival, and his FIFA 19 attributes underline why. His 85 Sprint Speed, 81 Agility and 79 Acceleration mean you’ll be able to run all over opposition midfielders, whilst he’s also a good passer, coming in at 73 for Short Passing. His 67 Strength means who’ll not only outpace midfielders but also outmuscle some too, with 69 Ball Control, 69 Long Passing and 68 Dribbling summing up an outstanding box-to-box midfielder – and that 78 potential means he’ll be as star of the future too.

Jordan Jones: 72 Overall, 78 Potential

If you thought Aribo was quick, then Jones is on another level. The winger’s key stats are clear from the off, as he possesses 90 Sprint Speed and 90 Acceleration. Add in 77 Dribbling, 74 Ball Control and 71 Crossing, and you’ve got yourself a pretty dangerous winger. He’s not the strongest, possessing just 37 Strength, and his Finishing could be better, sitting at 62. Yet with 78 Potential, he’s another player to grow for years to come, potentially filling the void left by Ryan Kent.

Jake Hastie: 66 Overall, 80 Potential

An exciting signing for the future rather than for an immediate impact, Hastie’s role at Rangers is summed up well on FIFA 19. He starts out at a 66 Overall rating with Motherwell, possessing some promising early stats. The young winger has 83 Sprint Speed and 79 Acceleration, which can be developed over time too. He has great Shot Power at 72, whilst his Ball Control and Dribbling are strong at 66 and 67 respectively. His crossing needs to be improved, but with 80 potential, Hastie can be a starter throughout your Career Mode journey with Rangers.

Sheyi Ojo: 67 Overall, 79 Potential

Yet another winger on the list, Ojo is only on loan at Rangers, but keeping him long-term on FIFA may be wise. That 79 potential is very appealing, especially with Daniel Candeias only set to decline. He’s not fantastic to begin with at 67 Overall, but does have some appealing attributes; 79 Sprint Speed and Acceleration is more than decent, as is 72 Dribbling. He has good strength for a winger too, though you’d need to improve his crossing if you’re making him a key part of the Rangers side,

Greg Stewart: 69 Overall, 69 Potential

Arguably the strangest signing so far this summer, Stewart does actually fare well on FIFA. He’s a well-rounded player with 74 Acceleration, 77 Sprint Speed and 78 Agility, meaning he can play out wide or as a number 10. 73 Finishing means he can make an impact in the final third, whilst he has 70 Dribbling too. With solid Crossing, Short Passing, Vision and Ball Control, Stewart may be a player to utilise early on, as he won’t be getting any better on FIFA 19 due to his age.
