The Frenchman is yet to find his best form for West Ham United this season.

It is fair to say that West Ham United’s start to the season has not gone to plan so far.

After impressing under Slaven Bilic last year, the Hammers had high hopes heading into this campaign and life in the London Stadium.

However, after 11 games they find themselves in 17^th place in the table and just a point outside of the relegation zone.

They have not been themselves, to say the least, and will need a drastic turnaround in form after the international break to save their season.

One man who has not been the same is Dimitri Payet, who after starring at Euro 2016, is yet to properly get going in the Premier League, minus a couple of star showings.

So is he performing drastically worse than last season or not? We have taken a look at the stats to find out.

As it turns out, his passing has been better; on a per game basis he is posting more accurate passes, 35 compared to 33 and more key passes, 4.4 compared to four.

However, his number of successful final third passes has fallen slightly and his overall passing accuracy is one per cent lower also.

Dribbling wise he is better, winning 3.1 contests compared to 2.2 at the same stage last season, but his number of shots on target per game has fallen from one to 0.6.

These changes have seen him managed fewer goals, just the one compared to five last year, although his assists have gone up from three to four.
