A one-time Liverpool target has revealed that he has received an offer to join Chelsea and will hopefully sign for the Premier League outfit in January.
Arsen Zakharyan was linked with a transfer to Anfield in 2021.
In fact, the Dynamo Moscow sporting director rubbished speculation about a move to Liverpool, as covered by HITC Sport at the time.
However, the 19-year-old remains hot property and it looks like Chelsea are leading the race.
According to Zakharyan himself, the Blues tried to sign him during the summer and the player is more than interested in coming aboard at Stamford Bridge in the new year.
He said to Russian site Sport Express: “There was an offer, but it just didn’t work out. You probably know the reasons. How could I refuse? Of course, I agreed. I hope everything will be fine. Maybe in January.”

Chelsea were spending like it was nobody’s business during the summer transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, the West Londoners dropped an eye-watering £271 million – a record for a Premier League club.
There’s no doubt that they have a lot more resources than Liverpool right now when it comes to transfer budget at least.
But if the Anfield outfit ever were genuinely interested, Jurgen Klopp should consider him again in January.
Despite the player being enamoured with Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel’s side look far from convincing this season and although the same could be said about Liverpool, you could easily chalk their woes down to the sort injury crisis that’s nowhere near as severe as the Blues’.
Playing for Klopp is one hell of an attractive proposition and who knows what 2023 could bring.
