Chappell Roan has responded after Jorginho accused her camp of making his 11-year-old stepdaughter cry, addressing the situation directly through social media.
The incident took place at a hotel in Sao Paulo during the Lollapalooza Brazil weekend, where both were staying.
It quickly escalated into a public dispute after Jorginho described how a security guard allegedly confronted his family.

Chappell Roan’s response to Jorginho’s accusation
Roan addressed it on Instagram after Jorginho claimed a guard made his stepdaughter cry during a hotel encounter in Sao Paulo.
“I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child… they did not come up to me… they weren’t doing anything,” Roan said.
She added: “It’s unfair for security to assume somebody doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken.”
Her response makes it clear she denies any involvement, instead stating she was unaware of the interaction at the time.
Reports confirm Jorginho’s complaint was centred on the conduct of a security guard, not a direct exchange with the singer.
Chappell Roan apologises after Jorginho’s daughter incident
Chappell Roan also addressed the emotional impact of the situation, acknowledging how it affected Jorginho’s family after the incident in Brazil.
“I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children. Like, that is crazy,” the singer continued.
Roan concluded, stating: “I’m sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something… and that if they felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad.”
The apology aligns with reports that she later said the guard involved was not part of her personal team and that she only became aware of the situation afterwards.
The dispute has since grown beyond the original incident, drawing reactions across sport, music, and even politics.
At its core, however, the issue remains centred on how a brief moment at a hotel escalated into a wider controversy.
