Celtic are keen on signing the former Liverpool target, according to reports.

If Liverpool sign Virgil van Dijk for £60 million then Celtic, according to The Glasgow Evening Times, will pocket a cool £6 million from the deal.
It was something of a masterstroke by Celtic to include a sell-on clause when they sold the Dutch defender to Southampton for £13 million back in 2015.

Best of all, Brendan Rodgers could use the money to help fund a deal for Iranian attacker Sardar Azmoun who, according to The Scottish Sun, is a transfer target for the Hoops.
If a move to Parkhead materialises then it would be a kick in the teeth for Liverpool, who reportedly tried to sign him in the January transfer window (via ESPN).
Worse, the Reds, through no fault of their own, would effectively help finance Celtic’s move for the 22-year-old, via the transfer fee for Van Dijk.

Should that happen, then Rodgers – sacked by Liverpool in 2015 – would be entitled to an element of triumphalism after getting one over on his old club.
The Northern Irish boss has certainly landed on his feet since being dismissed by the Anfield club, leading Celtic to a domestic treble last season – an achievement made all the more remarkable by the fact that they did not lose a match.
Amzoun, who has netted 25 goals in 77 outings for Russian outfit FC Rostov, is valued at €13 million (£11.3m) according to Transfermarkt.
