Cesc Fabregas has been hosting a Q&A session on Twitter, and as you can imagine, there have been plenty of questions about Arsenal.
Indeed, Fabregas has been taking queries from supporters, and many of them were related to the Gunners.
The Spaniard named Alex Hleb as the most underrated player he’d ever worked with and Robin van Persie as the best finisher he’d played alongside, but the Monaco star said that one thing he misses about Arsenal is playing at Highbury.
Indeed, while Fabregas’ best years in north London probably came at the Emirates, the Spaniard says he misses playing at the Gunners’ old stadium.
It’s not hard to understand why Fabregas misses Highbury, it was a historic ground that allowed the players to have a great level of intimacy with the supporters.
Fans were so close to the pitch and the atmosphere was always brilliant, and while the Emirates is a state of the art structure, it doesn’t really come close to having the charm of Highbury.
Fabregas will undoubtedly go down as one of the best players to ever strut his stuff at Arsenal’s new ground, but it seems as though the stadium where he made his debut still holds a very special place in his heart.
