Paul Scholes has questioned how Marcelo Bielsa can still send Leeds United out to play in the same manner after conceding 50 goals this season, as he told Premier League Productions.

The former midfielder added that he is ‘worried’ for Leeds and thinks there is a chance they could get relegated.

On Sunday, Leeds were beaten 4-2 by Manchester United, with Ralf Rangnick’s men scoring two goals on either side of the half.

That’s ten goals the Whites have conceded from their last three league matches and now they have to travel to Mersesyside to take on Jurgen Klopp’s free-scoring Liverpool team.

Scholes shared his thoughts on Leeds and sent a blunt message to Bielsa that teams have, not only worked out his side, but they are also ‘better’.

“I am worried for them in the sense that there is a chance they will go down,” said Scholes.

“You almost go out onto the pitch by saying ‘we will score more goals than you’. Now, that was okay last season because it was a bit of a surprise. Not many teams were used to it.

“Now, everybody has worked it out. A lot of teams are better than Leeds. A lot of teams have better players than Leeds, so to do that in the Premier League is very difficult.

“They concede so many goals. Surely you have to change? This manager has great plaudits around the world and rightly so for what he has done in the game. But how can he keep sending his team out in the same way to concede 50 goals? I think he has to try something different.”

As many Leeds fans will tesitfy, Bielsa is as stubborn as they come and it’s his way or the highway.

He has always liked to work with a smaller squad than others, and despite injury after injury this term, he has still stuck by that.

Then there his need to play this all-action and 100 miles per hour way which, for the neutral, makes them one of the best teams to watch.

But it can understandbly become frustrated for some of the supporters because they are probably fearing a hiding at Liverpool on Wednesday night.
