Burnley have several players who are spending time out on loan.
There is a feelgood factor surrounding Burnley at present, with Sean Dyche’s team in sixth place in the Premier League having produced some impressive performances.
Burnley also have several players currently out on loan who are hoping to prove that they can be part of the first-team setup next season.
Here’s an assessment of Burnley’s loanees.
Chris Long
The secondary striker is currently with Northampton Town in League One having previously had loan spells with Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers.
Long has scored three league goals this season and has produced some encouraging performances.
Dan Agyei
Another striker spending time in League One, Agyei is with Walsall, initially until January.
The prospect has impressed so far, scoring four goals in twelve league games.
Tom Anderson
The centre-back has had several loan spells away from Burnley and is currently playing for Port Vale in League Two.
Anderson has played regularly for his temporary side, but, at the age of 24, doesn’t appear to have a future at Burnley.
Aiden O’Neill
A talented Australian midfielder, O’Neil is gaining experience with Fleetwood Town in League One.
The 19-year-old has performed well and will be hopeful of making the breakthrough at Burnley in due course.
Jimmy Dunne
An Irish centre-back who was previously at Manchester United, Dunne is on loan at non-league side Barrow.
Dunne has received regular playing time and his loan deal, which is set to expire in January, could be extended.
Josh Ginnelly
Capable of playing as a striker or a left winger, Ginnelly is on loan at League Two side Lincoln City.
Although he has featured frequently, the youngster has only scored twice in all competitions this season.
Luke Hendrie
Hendrie is another player who is no stranger to a loan spell and the right-back is currently playing for Bradford City in League One.
The ex-England youth international has found himself in and out of the side and has been deployed at left-back in recent weeks.
Brad Jackson
Jackson is with National League North side Southport.
He has been an important player for his loan club so far but making the breakthrough at Burnley will be difficult.
Connor King
The young goalkeeper is playing for North West Counties League Premier Division team Barnoldswick Town.
King has featured prominently this season and has made some impressive saves.
Tommy Wood
Also at Barnoldswick is forward Tommy Wood.
However, he has been restricted to just seven appearances this campaign.
Ntumba Massanka
Another centre forward, Massanka also previously played for Manchester United.
The 21-year-old is playing for Wrexham in the National League but has mustered just two goals this season.
Alex Whitmore
A centre-back who is a graduate of the famous Wallsend Boys club, Whitmore is on loan at League One club Bury.
Although he was a regular earlier in the campaign he has been a peripheral figure of late.
