Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership, while the club have yet to appoint a new permanent manager following the departure of Pedro Caixinha.

The club have several players currently out on loan that are striving to play regularly for Rangers, and here is an assessment of how they are doing.

With Rangers also having a clutch of players on loan at semi-professional and academy sides, this assessment focuses purely on the players that are part of the first-team squad at Ibrox.

Joe Dodoo

The exciting young attacker is with League One side Charlton Athletic until January.

Despite scoring on his debut for his temporary club against Oldham Athletic, Dodoo has been used sparingly since and it seems unlikely that his loan deal will be extended.

Andy Halliday

The experienced midfielder is, rather unusually, spending the season with Gabala in Azerbaijan.

Halliday has found game time difficult to come by, though, and has mainly been a substitute.

Harry Forrester

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or out wide, Forrester is on loan at League One club AFC Wimbledon.

The former Doncaster Rovers player has impressed in patches, scoring twice in the league and also providing two assists.

Michael O’Halloran

O’Halloran is another Rangers squad player who left the club on loan in search of regular playing time, although he has remained in Scotland with St. Johnstone.

The attacker has caught the eye, scoring five goals in 13 league appearances.

Robby McCrorie

Young goalkeeper McCrorie is gaining experience in Scottish League Two with Berwick Rangers.

So far this season McCrorie has made 12 appearances across all competitions, although he has only kept two clean sheets.

Kyle Bradley

Teenage centre-back Bradley is also in Scottish League Two, and is currently on loan at Clyde.

However, he has been restricted to just three appearances, all of which have come in the League Cup.
