As the season draws to a close, we catch up with the players who left Hull City this season.
Mohamed Diame
Diame could be playing Premier League football next season after winning promotion with Newcastle United.
The recently retired Senegal international has been a regular in Rafa Benitez’s starting line-up for most of the season. He scored a crucial goal in the Magpies 2-1 win over promotion rivals Brighton and Hove Albion back in February. That was one of three goals the powerful midfielder has netted this campaign.
Sone Aluko
There is also a chance that Aluko ends up in English football’s top-flight next season.
The forward is a key part of Fulham’s potent attacking force, having racked up eight goals and twelve assists this season. Aluko, who has started all but two league fixtures for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side, will be hoping to win promotion via the play-offs for the second consecutive year.
Ryan Taylor
Taylor signed a short-term deal with League One strugglers Port Vale in October.
After an initial spell with Vale, where he bagged two goals and three assists, the right-back was handed another deal until the end of the season. Taylor, 32, has featured in every game of their recent run of five straight defeats, which sees them perilously close to relegation.
Robert Snodgrass
West Ham United tempted Snodgrass away from the Tigers in January following the departure of key man Dimitri Payet to France.
Snodgrass was on the losing end in six of his opening nine games for the Hammers. The Scottish international is yet to recapture the scoring touch he showed for the Tigers earlier in the campaign, but he did grab his first assists in recent games against Swansea City and Sunderland.
Jake Livermore
Livermore also made his KCOM Stadium exit during the winter transfer window.
The central midfielder has been in impressive form for West Bromwich Albion, starting in their last ten fixtures. Although the Baggies have struggled since reaching the magic 40 points mark, Livermore still consistently turns in praiseworthy outings.
His performances were recognised with a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad last month and a starting place in the 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany.
Dusan Kuciak
Kuciak signed for Polish outfit Lechia Gdansk in February. The goalkeeper has been ever-present since his arrival at the Stadion Energa Gdansk, conceding 13 goals in 10 games for the 4th place Ekstraklasa club.
