We find out how the likes of Darren Gibson, John Stones and Tim Howard are getting on in their post-Everton careers.

As the season draws to a close, we find out how Everton’s departed stars have fared this season.

Tim Howard

Howard’s nine-year stay at Goodison Park came to an end in the summer with a move to Colarado Rapids.

So far, the goalkeeper has not enjoyed the best of returns to MLS football. Howard, 38, was winless in his first three starts before picking up a three-game suspension for an incident involving a Sporting Kansas City supporter.

Felipe Mattioni

Following his release from Everton in July, Mattioni had to wait until February to sign for second tier Brazilian side Boa Esporte.

The right-back, who never made a senior appearance for the Toffees, is yet to make his first league start for his new club. Mattioni is the teammate of controversial goalkeeper Bruno.

John Stones

The centre-back’s big-money move to Manchester City has gotten off to a mixed start.

Stones, 22, has featured in 26 league games under Pep Guardiola this season, helping his team to six clean sheets. As reported by Sky Sports, Guardiola came to the England international’s defence last month. He stated: “I am delighted to have John with all the huge amount of mistakes. I love him.”

Darron Gibson, Steven Pienaar and Bryan Oviedo

These three former Everton stars reunited with David Moyes at relegation-threatened Sunderland.

Gibson drew criticism for his recent performance against local rivals Middlesbrough. The midfielder has only been on the winning side once since arriving at the Stadium of Light.

Likewise, Pienaar can only boast three victories from 14 games for the Black Cats. He hasn’t featured since February due to a calf strain he picked up in the 4-0 defeat to Southampton.

After making a winning start to life in the North East, Oviedo lost his next six out of seven games for the Black Cats. The left-back missed the recent fixtures against West Ham United and Middlesbrough with a hamstring injury.
