Aston Villa have several players that are currently out on loan.

Aston Villa may have gone three Championship games without a victory, but Steve Bruce’s side are still in a play-off spot as they look to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
In addition to the players currently at their disposal, Villa also have several individuals out on loan who will be looking to prove to Bruce that they deserve to be part of the first-team squad next season, hopefully in the top flight.
Here’s an assessment of how Villa’s loanees are getting on this season.
Ross McCormack

Experienced forward McCormack is on loan at Australian side Melbourne City until the end of this month.
McCormack has produced some impressive displays, scoring seven goals in ten league games, but he has suffered a serious knee injury that could rule him out for eight months, as reported by The Birmingham Mail.
Gary Gardner

A product of Villa’s academy, Gardner has made almost 50 appearances for the club at senior level, but the 25-year-old is currently on loan at Barnsley.
Gardner, who has had several loan spells in recent years, has recently established himself in the Barnsley side after missing several games through injury earlier in the campaign.
Carles Gil

Another rather experienced player, Gil is in the second year of his loan spell with Deportivo La Coruna.
The winger is back from a groin injury that hampered his start to the season and is now playing regularly.
Pierluigi Gollini
A goalkeeper who previously played for Manchester United at academy level, Gollini featured for Villa in the Championship last season before losing his place.
This campaign the shot-stopper is back in his native Italy with Atalanta but has mainly been a substitute and has featured just twice in Serie A.
Kevin Toner

A defender who is no stranger to a loan spell, Toner is now with League Two side Stevenage.
However, this spell hasn’t gone to plan, with the centre-back not featuring regularly.
Matija Sarkic

A talented young goalkeeper, Sarkic is with League One side Wigan Athletic until January.
Sarkic has featured in the FA Cup and the EFL Trophy but has yet to make a league appearance.
