It’s been a difficult international break for Leeds United.
Both Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente picked up injuries while playing for Scotland and Spain respectively and now they’re doubts for Monday’s clash with Wolves.
And there’s been another casualty from the international break, although not a senior one.
Sam Greenwood, who joined Leeds from Arsenal in a £3 million deal during the summer, could miss up to a month after suffering an ankle problem during a youth clash for England.
The 18-year-old striker has been bang in form for United’s Under-23 side recently and bagged himself a hat-trick earlier this month.
Here’s how Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to his injury blow:
Greenwood certainly looks like a fine young talent and there’s no way it won’t hurt the Under-23s that he’s absent.
The good news is that it’s only potentially a month because with ankle injuries, the prognosis is often far worse
