Jeff Stelling has said on Sky Sports News (12:06pm, April 24, 2021) that a lot of people will hope that both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City will lose this weekend.
The Sky Sports presenter is not impressed that both Tottenham and City wanted to join the European Super League.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea were the other English clubs involved in the project, which collapsed amid pressure from the players, the media, the fans and the football governing bodies.
Tottenham and Premier League rivals City will face each other in the final of the EFL Cup on Sunday.
Of course, there can be only one winner, but Soccer Saturday presenter Stelling has said that many will hope that both the teams lose.
Stelling said on Sky Sports News (12:06pm, April 24, 2021): “Of course, it is Carabao Cup final this weekend as well, Manchester City against Spurs, and a lot of people will be hoping they both lose after the Super League shame.”

Manchester City are favourites
City have arguably the best team in the Premier League and will head into the final against Tottenham as favourites.
With striker Sergio Aguero and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne back in training and Harry Kane still a doubt for Tottenham, the odds are stacked against Ryan Mason’s side.
However, in a one-off game, anything is possible.
