Patrick Vieira has been speaking to the media ahead of the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Manchester City on Monday.
Much of the conversation was about Michael Olise, who The Sun believe is a target for Arsenal.
With the 20-year-old in stunning form, there have been rumours about a release clause for Arsenal to trigger, and Vieira has now addressed the topic.
What’s the story?
Well, the Frenchman was asked if Olise has a release clause in the five-year deal he signed when joining from Reading in an £8m deal.
As quoted by Football London, Vieira said: “What I can tell you is Michael is a Palace player. We love him and he’s happy with us. Hopefully he’ll be with us for a long, long period of time.”
Evidently, Vieira loves Olise, although his response is an interesting one, as he quite clearly dodged the question.
If Vieira had said yes, then we’re sure most of the Premier League would’ve been on the phone to Crystal Palace, or Olise’s agent, trying to discover the fee.
However, the fact he didn’t say no either is just as intriguing.

So far this season, the London-born wonderkid has scored four goals in 24 games for the south Londoners, while also providing seven assists.
Arsenal must sign Michael Olise
In our view, Crystal Palace have a potential Premier League legend in their ranks – Olise could become a genuine superstar.
It is mind-boggling to think the Eagles signed him for just £8m, and Arsenal have to act before his valuation soars into astronomical regions.
Olise is already worth at least £35m – in our view – and he would fit right into Mikel Arteta’s Under-23 superteam in north London.

Just imagine a frontline of Olise, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli.
That quartet could dominate England for the next decade, so it’s imperative that the Gunners sign Olise before the whole of Europe is salivating over him.
