Some Liverpool fans on social media have been clamouring for Donyell Malen to be signed after his display against Austria at Euro 2020.
Malen has been linked to Liverpool for a while now, and earlier this week it was reported that talks have started over that transfer.
The striker only came off the bench for a late cameo, but he made a lasting impression, grabbing an assist within minutes of entering proceedings.
For many Liverpool fans, this may have been the first time they’ve seen Malen play, and it’s fair to say he impressed.
One thing that was abundantly clear as soon as Malen stepped onto the pitch was his immense pace, an attribute that came in handy as he ran through on goal before teeing up Denzel Dumfries to grab the Dutch side’s second goal.
Liverpool fans appear to be completely sold on the idea of signing Malen, and they’ve been calling for him to be brought in this summer.
