Liverpool fans couldn’t hide their pride in seeing Steven Gerrard lift the Premiership title with Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers were crowned champions of Scotland in March but only got to put their hands on the trophy yesterday amid jubilant scenes at Ibrox.
The 40-year-old manager enjoyed a glittering career with Liverpool but he never got to lift a league title during his time at Anfield.
And although winning this competition in a coaching capacity won’t fill that void, it’s still a remarkable achievement in light of the fact that Rangers won it without losing a game, recording 102 points overall.

The more he wins, the more he’ll find himself linked with the Liverpool job.
Of course, nobody on Merseyside wants to see Jurgen Klopp leave yet – except maybe Everton fans – and the German manager will undoubtedly come back stronger next season after a poor Premier League title defence.
But Gerrard is Liverpool through and through and there can be no doubt that he’s going to get linked with a return to Anfield in a big way if he repeats his heroics at Rangers next term, particularly if the Reds fail to win a trophy again this time next year.
