Leeds have depth in their central defensive department, and with Robin Koch playing in the Under-23 side today, the Whites do not actually need Cresswell right now.

However, the performance of the teenager today will do him no harm in his quest to establish himself in Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first team.

Bielsa has shown that he is willing to give chances to young players if he deems that they are good enough, and Cresswell could get his soon in the Premier League.
