Burnley and Manchester United drew 0-0 on Saturday lunch-time.
Burnley and Manchester United played out a 0-0 draw at Turf Moor on Saturday, as Louis van Gaal continued his search for a first competitive win as manager of the Red Devils.
Burnley performed brilliantly throughout and could even have nicked the win when the excellent David Jones hit the bar.
United had chances too and they were left bemoaning two penalty appeals both turned down by referee Chris Foy.
Robin van Persie also had chances to score, but it was Angel Di Maria who shone brightest for United on his debut, a regular threat until fatigue saw him replaced in the second half.
Burnley proved they will be no push-overs this season, especially at home, and Sean Dyche continues to impress despite coming up against more illustrious managerial counterparts.
