Liverpool have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund ace but the esteemed Bundesliga journalist thinks the Blues are likelier to sign him.

As the January transfer window edges ever closer, speculation regarding one of the most highly rated young players in European football is beginning to reach fever pitch.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with The Mirror claiming Liverpool are to bid £45million for him in January.
The United States international has endured a difficult season this time out, starting just five Bundesliga games through a combination of injuries and being overlooked, according to Transfermarkt.
Pulisic being out of favour at Dortmund has only served to increase the speculation regarding a potential departure and, according to German outlet Bild, Chelsea have also thrown their name in the hat with regards to a summer move.
Now, esteemed Bundesliga journalist Raphael Honigstein has suggested that Maurizio Sarri’s club is not only in pole position for the 20-year-old’s signature but also that Liverpool haven’t made a firm offer for the youngster and that Manchester United were interested previously but not any more due to having “other stuff to deal with”.

“My understanding is that Chelsea are the only team that have made a firm offer at the moment,” he told Sky Sports show Sunday Supplement. “It is kind of agreed that the player will move in the summer definitely because he still has a year to run on his contract. Unless someone matches Chelsea’s offer or exceeds it, he’ll go there.”
Since coming through the ranks at Dortmund, Pulisic has gone on to make 115 senior appearances for the club, scoring 15 goals and claiming 24 assists (Transfermarkt).
