Kevin Campbell has said on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel that Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard makes him want to play again.
The former Arsenal striker, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, was impressed by the performance of Odegaard during the Gunners’ 3-3 draw with West Ham United at London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder – who earns £38,000 per week as salary, according to The Times – played a big role in Mikel Arteta’s side coming from three goals down to draw 3-3 in the Premier League game at London Stadium.
According to WhoScored, Odegaard took three shots and one was on target, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 93.4%, took 95 touches, attempted four dribbles, and put in nine crosses.
Campball said on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel: “When Odegaard’s on the ball on Sunday, I was looking for my football boots because I wanted a game. I wanted a game.
“It has been a long, long, long, long time before I felt like that watching Arsenal, I will tell you that much. I wanted to get my boots because his brain, I am on it. I get excited when he is on the ball. I get excited, honestly.”

Big player for Arsenal
Odegaard has established himself as an important player for Arsenal, having joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
The attacking midfielder showed some wonderful touches, skills and passes against the Hammers, and Arsenal fans should be excited about the youngster and the role he can play in guiding the team to the Premier League top four and Europa League success this season.
