Over the past year, West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car, and he’s tired of hearing about it.
What’s the story?
Well, we appreciate that we’re not helping the matter, so we’d advise Caleta-Car not to read this article!
In all seriousness, it sounds as if the £15m West Ham target simply wants people to stop talking about his potential exit from France.
As quoted by le10sport, Caleta-Car said: “Every transfer window, I’m involved. They talk about me in the press, they say I’m going to leave, but I’m still here. There can be offers, but the three parties need to be in agreement. Each transfer window, I’m talked about. Honestly, I’m tired of talking about it.”
The Croatia international’s comments come after L’Equipe claimed there were weeks of negotiations between West Ham and Marseille during January.
Additionally, the French news outlet add that West Ham tried to force through a deal on deadline day, but they were – obviously – unsuccessful.
West Ham need Duje Caleta-Car

In our view, West Ham have to get this deal wrapped up in the summer.
For a side competing in the Europa League Round of 32, and with a real chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, West Ham do not have enough centre-back options.
Craig Dawson, Issa Diop and Kurt Zouma are all David Moyes has right now, and nobody knows if Angelo Ogbonna will be the same player when he recovers from injury – especially at the age of 33.

By the sounds of it, West Ham have monitored Caleta-Car for a while, so they should know plenty about the centre-back.
If not him, then the Hammers absolutely have to sign another centre-back this summer – that area of the squad is very, very thin for the Irons.
