Some Liverpool fans on social media are absolutely buzzing after they were linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The Frenchman has attracted interest from numerous Premier League clubs this summer including Tottenham and Arsenal, and Liverpool are the latest side to have a look at him.
Aouar is certainly a talented footballer. After all, he’s been starring for Lyon for a number of years now and he even has a France cap to his name, and you don’t get called up for the World Champions unless you have something about you.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool formalise this interest, but if they were to sign the 23-year-old, it would be a very popular addition in the eyes of the fanbase.
The departure of Georginio Wijnaldum at the end of last season has left Liverpool in a sticky situation in the midfield, and it seems as though Aouar could be the man to solve their problems.
