Emile Smith Rowe has claimed that there’s still quite a lot of people out there who don’t fully realise how good Arsenal team-mate Bukayo Saka is.
The 19-year-old is going from strength to strength with the Gunners and barring a miracle, he’s going to win their Player of the Year award.
That’s because despite being a teenager, Saka, who has six goals and seven assists this season, has undeniably been Arsenal’s most reliable and trustworthy performer in a season where a number of the North Londoners’ heavy hitters have blown hot and cold – especially Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Hale End graduate, who also made his England debut early during the first half of the campaign, has such a bright future and his stock has never been higher.
But as someone who trains alongside him at London Colney everyday, Smith Rowe claims that his fellow academy star is still not fully appreciated.
He told The Mail: “With the team we’ve got, I feel like we’re destined for great things. Honestly, I don’t think people realise how good Bukayo Saka is, for example. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with.”
