TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has said that Richarlison is not good enough to be the main source of goals for Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player has said on talkSPORT (6:28pm, August 19, 2023) that Richarlison cannot be expected to score 20 goals a season for Spurs.

O’Hara made the comments while watching Richarlison in action for Tottenham against Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs won the match in North London, but the £175,000-a-week (SalarySport) Brazil international forward failed to score.

O’Hara was impressed with other Tottenham players, as you can see from his tweet below, but not with Richarlison.

The talkSPORT pundit said: “I have got to be honest with you. I have been watching the game. I have got it on.

“Richarlison for me, is just not the answer, he is not the answer. He is not going to get us goals, he is not going to get us 20 goals.”

Tottenham Hotspur need to persevere with Richarlison

We do not think that Richarlison is a striker who can bang in the goals for fun as Harry Kane did for Tottenham Hotspur.

While the former Everton star does work hard and makes good runs, he is not as clinical as Kane is and does not have the same nous as the England international striker has in front of goal.

However, Tottenham need to persevere with Richarlison.

Richarlison is a Brazil international, and he is very good.

Perhaps if the 26-year-old gets two or three goals in quick succession, then the floodgates could open.

Spurs fans can only hope.

Richarlison has made 202 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The forward has scored 49 goals and given 19 assists in those games.
