Leeds United have to win their last two games if they are to have any chance whatsoever of making the Championship play-offs.

Ex-Whites hard man Vinnie Jones spoke exclusively to the Yorkshire Evening Post at the premiere of new film, Do You Want To Win, and delivered his verdict on his former side’s chances of forcing their way into the play-off spots.

Leeds have hit a terrible run of form, at the worst time possible, and now find themselves sitting in seventh position in the Championship table, after a six game stretch that has seen them win only once.

Garry Monk’s men have been so impressive all season long, and it is such a shame that they look like they have fallen at the final hurdle.

Jones though, who spent just over a year at Elland Road, predicted that there is still time left for a surprise or two in the Championship run-in, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“There’s always twists and turns. Nothing is sorted out by a long way. I still think there will be a lot of twists and turns, two or three games is a lot in the run-in for the Championship.”

The West Yorkshire outfit’s remaining two games are against Norwich City (h) and Wigan Athletic (a) respectively, and before they worry about the teams above them dropping points, they have to ensure that they win both of their matches, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of finishing inside the top six.

Whatever the eventual outcome though, Monk deserves great credit for the very fact that his Leeds side are even in contention for a play-off spot at all this season.
