The West Ham United manager hasn’t been impervious to criticism this season.

Famous Hammers fan Ray Winstone spoke to reporters at the launch of the club’s Iron Men film, and lauded the job being done by Slaven Bilic, suggesting that he represents everything that the club stands for, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Croatian has guided his side away from trouble over the past two months, and they now sit comfortably in mid-table, although the club’s fans expected much more, after last term’s seventh placed finish.
Winstone though, who is a born and bred West Ham fan, offered high praise for Bilic, citing his heart and passion as something that embodies everything that the club stands for, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I like Slaven, he is everything that West Ham is. He has got heart, he has got passion, and he knows his football. Early on, I wasn’t sure if there was a Plan B. We were great away from home, set up to hit teams on the break, but we needed something else at home. But then Andy Carroll came back, we’ve had pace in wide areas, and the home form has been getting better and better. We’re getting there I think.”

The East London outfit still have 11 games remaining in the Premier League this season, and Bilic will still be hoping that he can lead his side to a top eight finish.
And then the real work can start in the summer, in getting rid of some of the dross currently occupying space at the club, and bringing in some truly top class players who can genuinely help the Hammers reach the heights that their fans expect.
