Liverpool duo Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho have both been snapped in training this week after returning from injury.
The Reds posted an image on their official Twitter account this Monday of the two midfielders on the pitch in training. Thiago and Fabinho has missed the past few weeks of action due to injury.
Whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side have largely done well without the duo, injury this weekend to Naby Keita means that the returns of Thiago and Fabinho have come at the perfect time.
Liverpool dropped two points over the weekend as the Anfield side threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Brighton and Hove Albion. With Chelsea winning, the result was damming for the Reds.
Indeed, with Keita now out with injury, Thiago or Fabinho could feature tomorrow against Atletico Madrid. Liverpool lead their UEFA Champions League group, and a win against the La Liga giants would be massive.
And the return of the midfielders will be a massive boost for Klopp’s side. Who now have some lost ground to make up for following the weekend’s results.
