Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has told NBC Sports, during their live coverage, that he believes his side can compete with any team in the Premier League.
Tottenham currently lead the way in England’s top flight, with Jose Mourinho’s men making a flying start to the season.
Spurs have earned great praise for their performances so far this term, and there is now talk that they could be a surprise contender for the title.
But Hojbjerg insists that Tottenham are not getting carried away by their early success.
“It’s game by game, that’s all that matters,” Hojbjerg said, when asked if Spurs can win the Premier League title.
“We believe we can compete with anyone, but we take it game by game. We are ambitious, but we are humble.”
Tottenham have proven that they can compete with some of the Premier League’s leading title contenders in recent weeks, as they have taken four points from their games against Manchester City and Chelsea in the last two weekends.

Tottenham first beat City 2-0, before claiming a 0-0 draw with Chelsea to ensure that they remained top.
Spurs now head into the weekend with a game against Arsenal on the horizon, and if they are able to pick up the three points in that contest, they will move 11 points clear of their North London rivals.
