Glasgow Rangers defender Lee Hodson seems to rate his Ibrox teammate James Tavernier highly.

The former Newcastle United defender moved to Rangers from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £200,000 and when Mark Warburton was the Gers manager.
The 26-year-old right-back was linked with moves away from Ibrox in the January transfer window, with The Daily Mail reporting of Sunderland and Reading’s interest in him.
Rangers defender Hodson, who is also 26 years of age, has suggested that Tavernier is good enough to play in the Premier League.

“Tav’s good enough for the Premier League in England,” Hodson told The Scottish Sun. “But, given that chance, any player in this team could play down there.
“Tav is top quality. You look at the modern-day full-back and they get up and down. They’re good at attacking but can also defend. I don’t see why Tav can’t do those things.
“If he plays well every week for Rangers, who knows who’s watching or whose eye you might catch? That’s not just the case for Tav, it’s for anyone in the team.”

Tavernier is one of the best right-backs in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in Graeme Murty’s Rangers.
The 26-year-old defender has developed well over the past few years, and if he continues to play the way he is doing right now, then he could get offers from clubs in the Championship or even in the Premier League in the summer of 2018.
