The Tottenham legend believes that Ndombele can be a very good player for the North London outfit.
Hoddle has urged Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho to work with the 23-year-old midfielder and make him a better footballer.
According to a report in The Telegraph in May 2020, Spanish and European giants Barcelona are interested in signing the France international midfielder this summer.
The Express quotes Hoddle as saying: “Ndombele I think there’s a player in there, he’s [Mourinho] got to find that. Whether he’s gone too far with that lad and they won’t get him back as a player, I don’t know.
“But I truly believe there’s a player in there waiting to come out. If he moved on i think he would be sensational somewhere.”
Tottenham Hotspur stay
Ndombele joined Tottenham from French club Lyon in the summer of 2019 and was expected to be a hit at the Premier League outfit.
However, the youngster has failed to make a massive impact, and there have also been injury and fitness concerns.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old has scored two goals and provided two assists in 19 Premier League matches, and has provided two assists in six Champions League games for Spurs this season.
True, the first season has not been great for the Frenchman, but Tottenham should keep him for one more year at least.
