Glenn Hoddle has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur should sign Sam Johnstone from West Bromwich Albion to replace Hugo Lloris.
Speaking on the Glenn Hoddle Footy Show, the former Spurs midfielder opened up about his belief that Jose Mourinho needed to find a replacement for Lloris.
The French goalkeeper has been in awful form over the past week, and has conceded eight goals in his last two outings.
And Hoddle feels that if Tottenham do dip into the market then Johnstone should be right at the top of their wishlist.
Hoddle said: “For me Sam Johnstone is a top goalkeeper, who will get better and better. Whether West Brom go down or stay up, I think he’s someone who will stay in the Premier League and someone will grab him.”
Johnstone has really impressed for West Brom this term, and he was once again in excellent form at the weekend.

Johnstone produced a wonderful last minute stop to deny Harry Maguire from scoring for Manchester United and protect a point for his side.
Tottenham have actually been linked with Johnstone earlier this season, with The Sun saying in January that he was on their wishlist.
If Tottenham are to replace Lloris in their current squad then they will have to turn to Joe Hart, which could be a risk, given the England international’s shaky form over a number of years.
