Glenn Hoddle has told The Analysis Show that he is “scared” for Leeds United as we enter the final week of the Premier League campaign. The Whites currently sit outside of the relegation zone, ahead of Burnley.

Pascal Struijk scored an absolutely pivotal header to equalise against Brighton on Sunday, after a gorgeous assist from Joe Gelhardt. The Leeds star has since earned praise from Patrick Bamford, and Alan Shearer.

It was a solid weekend for Leeds, as Everton lost at home to Brentford. Burnley also lost to Tottenham. But they remain right in the mix of the fight against the drop. Burnley and Everton have a game in hand over Leeds.

Asked who he thinks will be relegated come the end of the season, Hoddle says is “scared” for Leeds. He believes Burnley will get something out of their final two games, and says Everton are capable of beating Palace.

“I’m scared for Leeds. Brentford are playing so well, a lot of confidence, I just don’t see them winning. This league, as I say,” Hoddle said this week, on the Premier League’s Analysis Show.

Everton have got to beat Palace at home. I think Burnley have got enough to get something out of those two games. If Leeds get the win, then you have to hold your hands up and say ‘wow’.”

Hoddle ‘scared’ for Leeds: Why Whites could still stay up

Before Leeds kick another ball, they will watch Everton face Palace at home – and Villa play host to Burnley. Recently, in the FA Cup, Everton were easily beaten 4-0 by Palace. This month, Villa beat Burnley 3-1 away.

That might add fire in the belly for Everton and Burnley, but it will also be a reminder that Palace and Villa could easily beat the relegation-threatened duo. Arsenal need to win to keep the pressure on Tottenham, this weekend.

They face Everton and the Gunners will be expected to win. Burnley play host to a Newcastle side that just beat Arsenal and are flying. So, it could be the case that Everton and Burnley fail to pick up another point.
