Glenn Hoddle has claimed Tottenham trio Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Ryan Sessegnon ‘done well’ during their 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions (19/12/21 at 6:30 pm).
The Tottenham legend stated that their careers in north London have been at a ‘wobble’, but they produced the goods yesterday.
For some, like Sessegnon, injuries have hurt his Spurs career pretty badly and it hasn’t allowed him to progress at Hotspur Way.
Whilst both Winks and Alli have seen their form fall off the footballing cliff for some while now, and although yesterday’s display was a positive, it’s only one game and this is where they need to go on a run of strong performances.
Hoddle liked what he saw from the English trio against the Premier League title challengers, who were all in contention for that Man of the Match award.
“Individuals coming in, who haven’t been given a chance,” said Hoddle. “Dele Alli had a good game. Winks had a good game. I think Sessegnon, who has come in.
“Their careers at Tottenham have been at a wobble. But they have come in, all three of them, and done well.”

For both Winks and Alli, there has been a lot of talk about them possibly leaving Spurs during the January transfer window, as reported by Eurosport.
But if they continue to put up performances like that then they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
For a number of them, it just hasn’t been a case of them struggling over several months, but for years and under different managers.
However, with Antonio Conte now at the helm, they have one final chance to showcase what they are about and try to get their careers going again.
