Wolverhampton Wanderers have quite the interesting past in the Premier League having picked up some huge victories in the last 15 years.

Wolves are a team who tend not to do things the easy way. They have put their fans through it all over the last few decades, from last-minute goals to possible liquidation. It has not been the most stable of journeys, but during that time they have managed to pick up some of their most famous victories in the biggest league in the world.
1) Wolves 1-0 Manchester United – January 2004
Going into this clash, Manchester United were arguably the biggest football club in Europe. They were top of the Premier League and Wolves were bottom, staring relegation down to the second tier in the face. It seemed like the result was inevitable, but as is the case with the old gold and black you can never rule them out.

With legends like Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Paul Scholes in the starting line-up for the visitors, it seemed inconceivable that they would not get the job done. However, with 20 minutes to go Kenny Miller bounced on an error by Wes Brown and scored one of the most famous goals in the club’s history.
2) Wolves 3-1 West Brom – May 2011
There are not too many things bigger than derby day in the Black Country. Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion have had a fierce rivalry for years and years, with some arguing that it is the most hate-filled derby in the country.

So when Wolves defeated their local rivals 3-1 in a must-win match, it was a pretty big moment. Goals from Steven Fletcher and Adlene Guedioura handed Wolves the bragging rights as well as a vital three points in their bid to avoid relegation.
3) Wolves 4-3 Leicester – October 2003
It says a lot about Wolves that there’s a whole host of games that could have featured in this spot. The 2-1 win over United to end their unbeaten run, the wins over Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, but this one shows the fighting spirit of the Midlands club more than any other.

In this early season clash Wolves were still adjusting to life back in the big time when before they knew it they found themselves 3-0 down at home to the Foxes.
Then, in an astonishing second half turnaround, goals from Alex Rae, Colin Cameron and Henri Camara secured a famous comeback victory that put the old gold and black into the record books.
