A number of ex-Wolves players will look to heap misery on their former side when they line up for Wigan Athletic tonight.

Facing your former side is never going to be an easy prospect, and it can either spur you on or worry you senseless depending on how your time there was spent. In that regard tonight’s game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic is going to be very interesting as the Latics have four players in their squad that have pulled on the old gold and black shirt in the past.

Michael Jacobs, Nathan Byrne, Craig Davies and most recently Adam Le Fondre have all had spells at Molineux with varying levels of success.

The odds are good that all four of them could well feature in the starting XI tonight, and unfortunately for Wolves they have not had the best start to the season when it comes to facing former employers.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Adam Hammill and Rajiv van la Parra are all ex-players who have had the joy of scoring against the Midlands side this season, and with all of the aforementioned Wigan starters being forwards it does not bode well for the visitors.
